Granul — Real Film Emulation for iOS

Overview

Granul is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your photos are personal, and we've built our app to ensure they stay that way.

Data We Don't Collect

Your photos never leave your device. All film emulation processing happens locally using your device's GPU. We don't upload, store, or access your images in any way.

Data We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymized data to improve the app:

App crash and error reports to identify and fix bugs
Usage analytics (for example, which film stocks and effects are most popular)
Purchase events (product identifier only — never your payment details)
Device type and iOS version for compatibility testing

In-App Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely through Apple's App Store. We don't collect or store any payment information directly.

Third-Party Services

We use PostHog for usage analytics and crash reporting. PostHog receives the anonymized events described above on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy policy. We don't use any advertising or tracking SDKs, and your photos are never shared with any third-party service.
